In 2011, the Sydney Sacred Music Festival came to life to showcase the hidden treasures in our communities and to create new work. To showcase how artists from diverse cultures could work together to create new Australian music.

The Ceremony was held at the Armory, Sydney Olympic Park. The festival opened with a historic meeting of Indigenous Australian, Tibetan, Uyghur and Syrian communities.
